What NewVolumes uses

NewVolumes is a personal music journal. When you choose to connect Spotify, NewVolumes asks only for permission to read your private playlists and followed artists. NewVolumes uses playlist details and related album and artist details to import albums, and followed artists to choose one weekly artist pick.

Where your information is kept

Your journal choices, imported album details, artist details, ratings, notes, follow-up choices, and playlist labels are stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database. A local browser copy is kept as a temporary cache and pending-save fallback.

The cloud journal keeps version history so an earlier version can be restored. Access is protected with your device’s passkey and Face ID or device passcode.

Spotify sign-in information is kept only for the current browser session. NewVolumes sends Spotify requests only to Spotify’s services to connect, read the playlists you select, and read followed artists for the weekly pick.

Disconnecting and deleting information

Disconnect removes NewVolumes’ saved Spotify sign-in information immediately. It does not delete your cloud journal.

You can remove individual albums or clear your Inbox. Earlier cloud versions remain available through Backups so accidental deletion is reversible. Clearing browser site data removes only that device’s cache; signing in again reloads the cloud journal.

Sharing and tracking

NewVolumes does not sell your information, use advertising, or use analytics or tracking services.
